J&P Listening event -Churches and people experiencing poverty

This will be the second such ‘listening event’. It will run from 11am until 1pm – at which point we will provide a light lunch. We want to hear about the experiences of people from across the Diocese of Leeds about issues of social justice.  In this event we want to explore how churches are responding to those living in poverty. The demands on groups providing food and organisations like the SVP just seem to be going up and up. We need to  ask ourselves ‘How do we respond to them as Church?’

The first event was held at Wheeler Hall in Leeds just before Christmas and we need to move this conversation around the Diocese. So this event will take place at St Mary & St Monica Church in Cottingley just off the main road to Bingley.
